This is one of my favorite videos of this year. Joe Zee in Chanel’s fur suit. Some people’s faces are just priceless.  Read More →

Red Velvet Fur & Sunshine Gold

This photo of MK Olsen is just completely awesome. It looks effortless, yet modern, but also has a hint of old glamour. I absolutely love the gold accessories against the black gloves.  Such beauty.  Read More →

Lulus.com Offers A Perfect Summer to Fall Look

I discovered Lulus.com over a year ago on Twitter and have been an avid follower since it provides trendy looks at a very affordable price. One of my favorite looks is the below “summer stroll” collage, that inspires a great summer to fall look. The platform pumps, crocheted socks, and feather hat accessorize this usual summer look for the fall weather. The fringe purse and skinny belt give it a hipster vibe, but the tribal pattern... [Read More...]

Mariah Carey Augmented Reality Perfume Ad – Thumbs Down

I usually applaud brands for testing out emerging media, but this augmented reality use for Mariah Carey’s new perfume “Lollipop Bling” gets a huge thumbs down. First of all,  is this meant for fans of the board game “CandyLand”? (i.e. ages 1 to 7) Its hard to tell who this ad is targeting since Mariah is in a sexy pose (surprise suprise) but then it looks like Lisa Frank invaded her photoshoot. (Feel free to check... [Read More...]

Proenza Schouler Ad Campaign

Dear Proenza Schouler, Really, Really? Is that model’s waist even possible? At least in the other shots she looks semi-believable.  Even if I ignored the awkward pose and possible photoshopping, I’m not thrilled by this campaign. Three out of the five main looks the model is making the same expression, and not really making me love the new designs. Thanks for the attempt Proenza, but no thanks. Any takers? Click on the photo below... [Read More...]

Just Dull or Deja Vu – Why Do Fashion Glossies Repeat Celebs?

It seems that at least once a year you will see Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Victoria Beckham, Jessica Alba, Katie Holmes, Gwyneth Paltrow or Jennifer Aniston on the covers of Elle, W, and Vogue. I understand that they are popular actresses/singers, but what happened to originality? Why do American fashion magazines all look the same and rotate the same celebrities? We all know celebrity sells, and fashion and celebrities these days inter-twine more... [Read More...]

SEO Tips Every Fashion Brand Should Follow

As a digital marketer, it pains me to see some awesome fashion brands make some mistakes with their digital efforts that can easily be fixed. When I’m searching for your “one shoulder dress”, I would hope that all the “one shoulder dresses” on your site show up within your site search results, or better yet, within Google. I’m finding as I shop more and more online that this is not the case, and I end up going... [Read More...]

The Sock and Sandal Comeback

Steve Madden Platform Sandals & Falke Socks H&M Fall Sock and Sandal Combo I remember wearing socks with my jellies and sandals when I was in first grade. Yes, that dates me, but I loved it. I even had socks with lace trim. When NYMag posted “8 Killer Socka and Sandal Combos” I was excited since I saw a great sock and sandal combo in H&M in Midtown last September. One of my favorite combos are the Steve Madden Trackks... [Read More...]
