The first day of the Fall 2009 New York Fashion week also marked the day of the first Fashion’s Night Out. I was so stoked to be at New York Fashion Week but to also be in the City to experience the first ever FNO.

To prep for Fashion’s Night Out 120 models including New York’s top models and models from around the globe got together at Bryant Park to promote the great night out of shopping and discounts to not only boost the retail economy but benefit the 9/11 Charity. It was so cool to see so many different people unite that night and gather together to have drinks at Calvin Klein or listen to some tunes at H&M and shopped the great deals and discounts. Celebrities from Mary Kate and Ashely Olsen to Justin Timberlake made appearances at stores to promote the big night out. So much fun!

New York Fashion Week Byrant Park Main Entrance

For the first time, Im headed to New York Fashion Week. I probably might have a minor anxiety attack when I see Bryant Park all gussied up for the first time with my own eyes, but I’ll deal with that when the time comes. I don’t even know when to start with how awesome this experience is going to be. Im not going as a guest of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, but as an IMG Fashion volunteer.  So, working ..yes. Loving…double yes. No sleep…most likely. But its going to be so worth it.

To see, spring fashion first hand and get to experince fashion week is going to be just fabulous. Plus I will be able to experience fashion week for one of the last times at Bryant Park before it moves to Lincoln Center. NYFW 2009 = Priceless.
